I will do a write up of all of those soon. There have been some setbacks, a friend of mine was killed by pirates tonight and last night there was an incident involving runaway missiles, but we'll just rebuild bigger and stronger. I tried changing settings but Im out of ideas. Our faction, 'HMS Industries' has a nice little station setup near a giant red star, and we've claimed a couple systems with the faction points we've earned. The expansion behavior is also preferred towards the resources they mostly need for their contingent. Some will spread faster and uneven, some prefer to be a big dense blob. Look out for lots of more new features and optimizations already in the game. On a server Ive been getting into, the factions points turned black like deep space, not opaque just slightly translucent. Most factions will have less density in the outskirts of their territory although you can adjust that in the config. This means that there is finally a fundamental way for players to protect their possessions. Also, any ship docked on a home base will also gain the same protection as home bases themselves have. A member with the right permission may assign a structure as their home base activating the faction block as mentioned above.įaction Home Bases can NOT be attacked, edited, entered, and activated by players outside the faction (for now). The idea of having a fully realised Star Trek world on a server would fall short if there were dozens of copies of the same ship going around.
STARMADE FACTION POINTS UPDATE
The faction update also comes with another a very unique feature: Home Bases!Įvery faction can have one home base. The whole point of StarMade after all is to build whatever you want so restricting the number of ships to such a low number seemed a little counter-productive. This will however NOT keep enemies from destroying the faction block voiding the faction assignment of the object. fluid, and regular part of play (e.g., StarMade, 2012 No Mans. This means that the object can only be edited (by hand), entered, or activated by members of the own faction. value of both dimensions (6 and 6), as well as around a point that is low on media.

Players can place this block on any structure, activate it by pressing 'R' and assign the structure to their faction. The faction module is a very unique feature.
